CEI VIRGIN OF CORTES
Passport to a world of stories.
2024-2025
The project's objective was to foster a love of reading from an early age, stimulate imagination and creativity, develop language skills, promote positive values and attitudes, and strengthen the emotional bond between children and adults through storytelling and acting out stories. This project laid the foundation for holistic emotional, cognitive, and social development. Our Early Childhood Storytelling project seeks to sow the seeds of a passion for reading and lifelong learning. The methodology used was Project-Based Learning (PBL), which fostered collaboration between the class and European peers, communication, critical thinking, and the use of new information and communication technologies (ICTs).
Play nice, play with values.
2023-2024
This project is about sports and the values we learn through them, such as tolerance, teamwork, love, effort, equality... During the school year, we will learn about different sports, as well as the importance of learning English from a young age, the importance of recycling, and the use of new technologies.
Each activity addresses an English objective, which can be either vocabulary or grammar, or both.

Saving our Sea Animals
2022-2023
At the beginning of this project, we found a mascot in each classroom, a sea turtle that had lost pieces of its shell and that it would recover with each of our collaborative activities.
During the project, we will reflect on the importance of sustainability, as well as the need to care for the environment, for example: the importance of recycling, keeping our seas and oceans clean, caring for the environment, caring for and respecting nature and the animals that inhabit it, etc.
Calling for Earth heroes
2021-2022
The Earth has been kidnapped by a monster who has imprisoned it in a castle. Send an owl with a map and a message to our schools so we can save it.
Children will become Earth Heroes, carrying out a mission to save Earth by solving six STEAM challenges, each earning a piece of the key to unlock the castle. At the same time, we will also engage in other collaborative activities.
During our mission, and thanks to the 49 participating teachers, we will learn to respect nature, the importance of recycling and caring for the Earth, in addition to meeting friends from other countries, practicing English, and learning to collaborate in a fun way.
This project has allowed us to obtain a national quality seal, the European quality seal, and the National eTwinning Award.
Kids happy with Nature
2021-2022
In this project, 24 teachers from different countries aim to help their students connect with nature and the Earth, thereby raising awareness of the importance of caring for it and experiencing it firsthand.
The project activities have been planned according to the student level, with a common theme of sustainability, collaboration, and the use of English and digital tools. We will connect with nature and learn about the Earth.
Among the collaborative activities that we find in the project we have the choice of the logo, planting seeds, reflections on forest fires, the
Pollution and the measures to be taken regarding it, recycling, climate, a collaborative story to visualize different aspects of nature, a video created from slogans to raise awareness about respect for the environment, etc.

Gender equality in Nursery classrooms
2020-2021
This project, the first in which our Early Childhood Education Center participates, and in which it also acts as coordinator and creator, four preschools from different countries (one Italian, two Greek, and us from Spain), have worked on equal opportunities between men and women with boys and girls through various activities.
This project has received the eTwinning Quality Seal.
