Destiny: Paola (Malta)

Dates: April 27 to May 2, 2025.

Objective: Job shadowing at nursery schools: L´ecole and Yoyo Kids.

Summary:

Four teachers from the Virgen de Cortes Primary School have traveled to Malta again to strengthen VERGE's ties with the Yoyo Kids preschool and continue expanding our Erasmus network with the L'ecole preschool. During their stay, the teachers shared learning experiences and collaborations, and discovered new techniques for working in our classrooms.

Destination: Porto (Portugal)

Dates: April 13-19, 2025.

Objective: Job shadowing at Chupetão Early Childhood Education

Summary:

Four teachers from the Virgen de Cortes Primary School participated in a new Erasmus exchange program at the Chupetão Nursery School in Porto, Portugal. This exchange allowed us to discover new methodologies, foster mutual learning, and enrich our work from a European perspective. Thanks to the closeness of these professionals, we were able to fully integrate. This experience has allowed us to broaden our horizons and return with new ideas, enthusiasm, and a desire to continue growing.

Destination: Malta

Dates: July 30 - August 6, 2023.

Objective: To complete an English language course.

Summary:

Six staff members from the Virgen de Cortes Primary School have completed an English course in Malta. Promoting the English language within our preschools is a commitment and challenge for our entire educational community. Therefore, thanks to Erasmus , our staff can continue working and improving their language skills outside of Spain while enjoying cultural immersion to put the language into practice.

Destination: Anzio (Italy)

Dates: December 4-9, 2022.

Objective: Job shadowing at Anzio III Comprehensive Institute

Summary:

Six teachers from the Virgen de Cortes Primary School traveled to Anzio, Italy, to spend a week with the teachers from the Anzio III Comprehensive Institute. During this week, our teachers learned new methodologies, learned about our resources, and worked on new collaborative projects. Our teachers returned recharged and eager to apply what they learned in our schools.

Destination: Amsterdam (Netherlands).

Dates: March 13-18, 2022.

Objective: Job-shadowing a Blue Line

Summary:

Four teachers from the Virgen de Cortes Primary School visited the Blauwe Lijn preschool in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This preschool provides an excellent approach to sustainability in its classrooms. Our teachers shared best practices and learned how to teach our children the importance of caring for the environment through sustainable habits such as recycling and reusing.

Destination: Helsinki (Finland).

Dates: August 23-27, 2021.

Objective: Course to learn the Finnish education system.

Summary:

Finland is considered by many to be a benchmark in education due to its focus on equality, school autonomy, and trust in teachers, which translates into high results on international assessments such as PISA. Six teachers from CEI Virgen de Cortes traveled to Helsinki to take an immersion course in the Finnish education system and learn firsthand how to implement these methodologies in our classrooms.
